A few words about Comares
Comares is a wonderful white village in Axarquia, in the province of Malaga.

The date of the Comares Verdiales Festival
The Comares Verdiales Festival will be held on Saturday 20 July 2024.
This festival offers a very festive evening in one of the most beautiful white villages of the province.
Below, a short video with the panda of verdiales de Comares: Arroyo Conca, who is preparing to participate in the festival.
During the evening, we see several verdiales pandas playing in the streets of the village. It’s a show!
The villages of Comares, Benagalbon and El Borge are the 3 villages in Axarquia that hold festivities where you can see Verdiales panda shows.

The particularity of this musical and folkloric genre is that there are 3 different styles of dance and music. These are the “Comares type”, the “Almogia type” and the “Montes type”.
