A few words about Torrox and the Romeria
Torrox pueblo is an authentic white village in Axarquia, in the province of Malaga.

Origin of the romeria :
The word “romeria” comes from “romero”. It is the name given to the pilgrims who went to Rome almost 2000 years ago. Romerias, which are very typical in Andalucia, therefore have very ancient origins. Here are a few photos :


Dates of the Romeria de San Antonio
The festivities of the Romeria de San Antonio in Torrox will be held from 15 to 16 June 2024.
Romeria programme
The programme will begin on Friday evening at the Caseta de Juventud at 11pm.


On Sunday 18 June, the Romeria San Antonio will take place. At around 3 pm, a paella will be served, followed by shows and a carrera de cintas on horseback.
Afterwards, a dance show will take place at 8.00 pm in the Plaza de San Antonio. The romeria will end at 8 pm at the church.
In the evening a concert will be given from 9 pm, ending with a fireworks display.
